Right of Parents

And your Lord has decreed that you not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as], “uff,” and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word.

Sūratul Isrā’ (No. 17), verse 23

A Mother’s service

And We have enjoined upon man [care] for his parents. His mother carried him, [increasing her] in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Me and to your parents;

Sūra Luqmān (No. 31), verse 14

A prayer for parents with humility

A Prayer for Love in the family

“Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous.”

Sūratul Furqan (No. 25), verse 74

A progeny that worships

My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and [many] from my descendants.

Sūra Ibrahim (No. 14), verse 40

The prayer of Solomon

My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to do righteousness of which You approve. And admit me by Your mercy into [the ranks of] Your righteous servants

Dignity of the human being

And We have certainly honored the children of Adam and carried them on the land and sea and provided for them of the good things and preferred them over much of what We have created, with [definite] preference.

Right to Life

We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul – unless it be for another soul or for corruption [done] in the land – it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one – it is as if he had saved mankind entirely.

Equality of human beings

O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of God is the most righteous of you.

Join hands in goodness

And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression.

Give what you like to others

Never will you attain the good [reward] until you spend [in the way of God] from that which you love.

Goodness to humanity

Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, and to parents do good, and to relatives, orphans, the needy, the near neighbor, the neighbor farther away, the companion at your side, the traveler, and those whom your right hands possess.

Maintain Justice

O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm for God, witnesses in justice, and do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness.

Treat relatives with Justice and Kindness

Indeed, God orders justice and good conduct and giving to relatives and forbids immorality and bad conduct and oppression

Sūratun Nahl (No. 16), verse 90

Priority in charity

Whatever you spend of good is [to be] for parents and relatives and orphans and the needy and the traveler. And whatever you do of good – indeed, God is knowing of it.
